Part 1. Fix iOS system issues in standard mode
Start Dr. fone and select"Repair" from the main window.
Then connect the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to the computer using lightning wires. When Dr. fone detects your iOS device, you can find two options: standard mode and advanced mode.
Note: Standard mode fixes most iOS system problems by retaining device data. Advanced mode fixes more iOS system problems, but deletes device data. It is recommended to enter advanced mode only when standard mode fails.
The tool automatically detects iDevice model types and displays available iOS system versions. Select a version and click Start to continue.
Then the iOS firmware will be downloaded. Because the firmware we need to download is very large, it will take some time to complete the download. Make sure your network is stable in the process. If the firmware is not downloaded successfully, you can also click Download to download the firmware using the browser, and then click Select to restore the downloaded firmware.
After downloading, the tool starts validating the downloaded iOS firmware.
After validating the iOS firmware, you can see this screen. Click "Fix Now" to start repairing iOS and make the iOS device work again.
In a few minutes, your iOS device will be repaired successfully. Just grab your device and wait for it to start. You can see that all iOS system problems disappear.
Part 2. Fix iOS system issues in advanced mode
Can't the iPhone / iPad / iPod touch return to normal in standard mode? So, your iOS system must have a serious problem. In this case, you should choose the advanced mode to fix it. Keep in mind that this mode may clear your device data and back up your iOS data before continuing.
Right-click on the second option, Advanced Mode. Make sure your iPhone / iPad / iPod touch is still connected to your PC.
Your device type information is tested in the same way as the standard mode. Select iOS firmware, and then click Start to download the firmware. Or, click Download to download firmware more flexibly, and then click Select after downloading it to PC.
After downloading and verifying the iOS firmware, click "Fix Now" to fix iDevice in advanced mode.
Advanced mode will undergo in-depth repair on the iPhone / iPad / iPod.
When the iOS system is repaired, you can see that the iPhone / iPad / iPod touch is working again.
Part 3. Fix iOS system issues when iOS devices cannot be recognized
If your iPhone / iPad / iPod doesn't work properly and your PC is unrecognizable, the Dr. fone - repair will show "Device is connected but not recognized" on the screen. Click this link and the tool will remind you to boot the device in recovery mode or DFU mode before repairing it. The instructions on how to start all iDevices in recovery mode or DFU mode are clearly displayed on the tool screen. Follow me.
For example, if you have an iPhone 8 or higher version, do the following steps:
Steps to boot iPhone 8 and later models in Recovery mode:
◆ Close the iPhone 8 and connect it to the PC.
◆ Press and release the volume up button quickly. Then press and quickly release the volume down button.
◆ Finally, hold down the Side button until the screen displays the Connect to iTunes screen.
Steps to boot iPhone 8 and later models in DFU mode:
◆ Connect the iPhone to the PC using lightning wires. Quickly press the volume up button once, then quickly press the volume down button.
◆ Press the side button long until the screen darkens. Then, without releasing the side button, press the "Lower Volume" button for 5 seconds.
◆ Release the side button, but hold the volume down button. If DFU mode is activated successfully, the screen will remain black.
After iOS devices enter recovery or DFU mode, select standard mode or advanced mode to continue.
Part 4. Easy way to get out of Recovery mode (free service)
If your iPhone or other iDevice unknowingly stuck on the recovery mode, this is a simple way to get out safely.
Start the Dr. fone tool and select Fix in the main interface. After connecting iDevice to the computer, select "iOS Repair" and click "Exit Recovery Mode" at the bottom right.
In the new window, you can see the graphics showing that the iPhone is in recovery mode. Click Exit Recovery Mode.
Your iPhone / iPad / iPod touch can exit recovery mode almost immediately. If you can't remove iDevice from recovery mode in this way, or if your iDevice stays in DFU mode, try iOS system recovery.
